MLC Life Insurance and Vivo recognised at Plan For Life Awards

MLC Life Insurance has been recognised for the support it provides to improve the health and wellbeing of its customers, winning multiple awards at this year's Plan For Life Actuaries & Researchers' Health & Wellness Excellence Awards.

The Awards recognise life Insurance programs designed to boost the health and wellness of customers, either through incentivising behaviour change through fitness device tracking, exercise rewards, or physical / mental health support. Customer outcomes are used to inform the decision-making for who wins the awards.

MLC Life Insurance won the following awards:

• Overall Health & Wellness Excellence Award.
• Physical & Mental Health Support - This was based on how life companies support customer's physical and mental health needs, including five factors covering early prevention support and access to ongoing professional help and information.
• Best Program Coverage (Vivo).
• Best Innovation Program (Vivo).

In August, MLC Life Insurance launched its Vivo health, wellness and recovery service, designed to provide support to customers wanting to improve health and wellbeing throughout all their life stages. With a strong focus on wellness and recovery, Vivo brings together all the support provided to customers insured by MLC Life Insurance under one brand, fully accessible online and offered at no additional cost.

Vivo offers access to the following services to customers: 

• Support for mental health, cancer and pain (Vivo Specialist Care).
• Assistance to get back on track after illness or injury (Vivo Recovery).
• Help to improve wellness and overall health (Vivo Wellness); and
• Access to medical resources (Vivo Health).
